Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Construction Supervision of Matanda Irrigation Scheme - Dam and Pipe Network. The project is designed to assist the Government of Uganda increase the area under irrigated agriculture. This will foster the Government programme of modernizing agriculture that aims at increasing incomes and improving the quality of life of poor farmers and their households. It will further ensure food security and provision of gainful employment through improved agricultural enterprise development and promotion of sustainable land use and management of natural resources. The Consultancy assignment entails the construction supervision of the construction process of: (i) Matanda dam and (ii) the Off-farm pipe network up to the block. The civil works for the dam and the pipe network system for Matanda Irrigation Scheme will be executed by two separate contractors. Both works contracts shall be executed concurrently. However, the construction supervision for the Off-farm pipe network up to the block will commence about 9 months or so later. Deadline: 11th July, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
