A consultancy firm to undertake an environment and social impact assessment study for the proposed establishment of water reservoirs and their accessories in nabilatuk sub-county, nabiltuk district; nadunget sub-county, moroto district and mourita sub-county, nakapiripirit district.BackgroundThe Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) developed a project titled ‘Fostering Sustainability and Resilience for Food security in Karamoja Region (FSURE)”. The Project is largely financed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The Project aims to address environmental drivers of food insecurity in the Karamoja region, reduce land degradation and contribute to generation of Global environment benefits in the process. The project has been running since 2018, in 6 Districts including Kaabong, Karenga, Kotido, Nabilatuk, Moroto and Nakapiripirit.
