  • Expression of Interest are invited for Consultancy Services for Assessment of Climate-Induced Loss and Damage in Uganda Overall Objective: The overall objective of the study is to support government actions to minimize loss and damage due to extreme and slow onset events and inform Uganda-s international negotiations on climate-induced loss and damage. Specific objectives: The specific objectives of assessing the climate-related loss and damage are: . Assess the extent of degradation of forests and wetlands in the cattle corridor of the country. ii. Assess loss and damage due to extreme events at cattle corridor districts affected by the climate-related hazards. iii. Identify potential risks and quantify the losses and damages due to the identified climate-related extreme events. iv. Identify key stakeholders at national, local government and community-based level and engage the stakeholders in the assessment processes of loss and damage. v. Assess community perceptions on climate-induced loss and damage and their perspectives on minimizing the losses and damages; and vi. Provide policy recommendations and develop an implementation strategy for minimizing climate-induced loss and damage. Duration of the Assignment: 18 calendar months
