  • Description:
  • Tenders are invited for Change the Story Project Endline Evaluation Street Child of Uganda is seeking consultancy services to conduct an endline evaluation for the project β€œChange the Story” that has been implemented in Oyam and Kiryandongo Districts from 2018 to 2021. See link below for the detailed Terms of Reference. https://www.dropbox.com/s/rxyum6so5is6q27/Change%20the%20story%20-%20Endline%20TQR2.pdf?dl=0 Change the Story project was a 3 year project part funded with UKaid from the UK Government-s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and implemented in Kiryandongo and Oyam Districts. The project targeted 2,243 young mothers (aged 19-29 with one or more child aged 3-9), 1950 male caregivers and 150 community leaders in Kiryandongo and Oyam districts and aimed at ensuring that young mothers are able to better support their children's wellbeing and are playing a more impactful role in their homes and communities using new skills, including functional levels of literacy and numeracy. Build Africa/Street Child used culturally appropriate entry points of child-care skills for young mothers to equip them with literacy, numeracy and life skills, including financial management to enable them to take a more active role in their homes and communities, changing the landscape for their own children and leading to a virtuous development cycle beyond the life of the project. The project hoped to address their poverty of access to health services, help to rectify their isolation from a full education which contributes to the on-going cycle of poverty for themselves and their children and the inequality of current cultural decision making structures in the home and community, including decisions on childcare and income generating activities in these agriculture dominated areas as β€˜wages, agricultural income and productivity are higher where women involved in agriculture receive a better education. or you can reach us through email: procurement.uganda@street-child.org How to apply Interested consultants should submit all documents via email to procurement.uganda@street-child.org not later than Friday 27th August, 2021 at 5:00pm.
