Description:
The Government of the Republic of Uganda has received a loan from the African Development Fund and the Government of the Republic of South Sudan has received grants from the African Development Fund and the European Union toward the cost of the South Sudan - Uganda Power Interconnection Project (SUPIP) and intend to apply part of the proceeds of the financing to payments under the contract for ‘‘Consultancy services for Project Supervision and Management-.The project includes:Construction of 300.5 km of 400 kV double circuit transmission lines comprising of: 149 km from Gumbo in Juba (South Sudan) to Uganda border, and 151.5 km from the South Sudan border to the existing Olwiyo substation in Uganda via the new Bibia substation.Construction of a new 400/132/33 kV substation at Nesitu, Gumbo area (South Sudan), new 400/132/33 kV substation at Bibia (Uganda), extension of 400 kV Karuma substation (Uganda) and uprating of Olwiyo substation (Uganda) from 132/33 kV to 400/132/33 kV.Construction of 100 km of 33 kV lines and 400 km of low voltage reticulations in Nimule (South Sudan) and last mile connection of 1,000 new connections (South Sudan) and extension of 33 kV distribution lines i...
