- Expression of Interest are invited for Kampala-Jinja Expressway (KJE) PPP 2021 Traffic and Revenue Study The road transport infrastructure in Uganda comprises about 71,000 km of road, including about 20,000 km of national roads; 17,000 km of district roads; 3,500 km of urban roads; and 30,000 km of community access roads. The Government of Uganda (GoU), through the Ministry of Works and Transport (MoWT) has overall responsibility for all roads in Uganda. The Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) was established by an Act of Parliament in 2006 with a responsibility of managing the National Roads Network including its maintenance and development in a business-like manner. UNRAs Mandate is to develop and maintain the national roads network, manage ferries linking the national roads network and control axle overloading. Its Vision is to operate a safe, efficient and w UNRA would like to undertake an independent Traffic and Revenue Study that will provide the most up to date data and forecasts to both UNRA and the shortlisted bidders as part of the bidding process for the KJE project. FUNDING SOURCE The World Bank Group intends to finance the assignment / services described below under the following: - BANK BUDGET - IFC CMAW - SSA - Regional Envelope CAS-PPP The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Please note that the total size of all attachments should be less than 5MB. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. Interested firms are hereby invited to submit expressions of interest. Expressions of Interest should be submitted, in English, electronically through World Bank Group eConsultant2 (https://wbgeconsult2.worldbank.org/wbgec/index.html) NOTES Following this invitation for Expression of Interest, a shortlist of qualified firms will be formally invited to submit proposals. Shortlisting and selection will be subject to the availability of funding. Only those firms which have been shortlisted will receive notification. No debrief will be provided to firms which have not been shortlisted.
