Description:
General Procurement Notice for Procurement of Goods and Consulting Services for this Micro and Small Medium Enterprises (MSME) Business Linkages on East African Crude Oil Pipeline (Uganda and Tanzania) Project. The principal objectives of this project are: a) Capacity building of at least 200 SMEs, as a process of enabling them to meet large company-s supplier criteria, commercial bank lending requirements, and have potential to access new markets. b) Establishment of a minimum of 50 business linkages between Micro enterprises and SMEs and 20 linkages between SMEs and large companies. c) Establishment of a framework for the sustainability of business linkages program between SMEs and large companies in Uganda and Tanzania The project includes the following components: (a) Component 1 - Capacity Building in Business Development Skills with four (4) subcomponents: (i) Identification of target MSMEs and conducting needs assessments; (ii) Business Development Training; (iii) Women and Youth Empowerment in Business; and (iv) Development and Delivery of Business Linkages. (b) Component 2 - Administration, monitoring and evaluation which involves recruitment of staff and procurement of goods and services.
