Description:
Tenders are invited for Provision of Internal Audit Services in line with International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards), 2022- 2024. Scope and key deliverables of the Internal Audit: 1. RISK MANAGEMENT, COMPLIANCE, ACCOUNTABILITY AND GOVERNANCE: Develop, operationalize and adhere to an internal audit charter that will strengthen the risk management, compliance, accountability and governance. 2. DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF ANNUAL AUDIT PLANS: Develop and implement annual audit plan approved by the Finance and Audit Committee of the Governing Board. 3. RISK MANAGEMENT AND RISK-BASED AUDIT PLANS: Provide leadership to undertake risk management initiatives and develop annual risk-based audit plans for approval by the Finance and Audit Committee of the Governing Board 4. ADHERENCE TO ORGANISATIONPLOICIES, SYSTEMS AND INTERNAL CONTROLS: Verify and report on the adherence of AAIU management staff and partners to the Organizational policies, systems and internal controls and assure the Governing Board 5. ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS AND RELAIBILITY OF REPORTS: Verify the financial reports and provide an opinion on the accuracy, completeness, and reliability. 6. SPECIAL INVESTIGATIONS OF LOSS AND/OR FRAUD: Perform special investigations of systems, policies, procedures and activities and incidence of loss or fraud as instructed by the Governing Board. 7. BUSINESS STRATEGY AND PLANS: Participate in the development of AAIU strategic and annual business plan, review, monitor and report on budget implementation in line with AAIU guidelines.
