• Request for Information for Restore Africa Program Introduction This Request for Information (RFI) relates to the 5 year Restore Africa (RESAf) Program funded by Climate Asset Management through the Global Evergreening Alliance. Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Uganda is leading a consortium of partners including the World Agroforestry Centre (CIFOR-ICRAF), World Vision Uganda, EcoTrust Uganda Landcare Network, CARE International in Uganda and Caritas to implement RESAf. The program aims to improve livelihoods, food security, and resilience to climate change in Uganda through restoring ecosystem services and improved management of agricultural, pastoral, and forest areas. This RFI is intended to get information about and ideas from potential future partners {businesses, commercial nurseries, companies, farmers cooperatives, Community Based Organizations-CBOs, farmer associations, religious organizations, and other potential partners) who would wish to work with CRS under RESAf. RESAf works to enable 352,500 smallholder farming households in Uganda across 35 districts in Central, Southwestern Uganda, Karamoja and Mount Elgon regions to be more climate resilient. RESAf will restore and protect 560,000 Ha of ecosystems and ecosystem services and/or make them more resilient to impacts of climate change, and plant/grow 25 million trees. We seek information from partners that work at the international, national, sub-regional and district level.
