- Expression of Interest are invited for Supply, Customization, Implementation and Maintenance of Mobile-Based Digital Marketplace. IFC is seeking to develop a Digital Marketplace platform which will organize, optimize, and capitalize agricultural production and exchange in Uganda. The selected firm is expected to supply, customize, implement and maintain a digital marketplace for the client. It is anticipated that the Digital marketplace will allow the tracing of produce from the production point to the markets thus contributing to attaining global food safety. In addition, the platform will help to strengthen the linkages between the maize production at the farm sites and the surrounding communities with buyers of maize in and outside Uganda. The mobile-based Digital Marketplace is expected to have a Farmer Registration, e-Commerce, Knowledgebase, an eLearning, web-based administrative module, with the appropriate Dashboard that allows the management of all activities, and Integration of an existing mobile application on the clients side, after carrying out a thorough assessment of the existing features. The mobile-based Digital Marketplace is expected: A. To have a Farmer Registration feature that allows capturing of important and relevant information about farmers as per the clients engagement with them. B. To have an e-Commerce module that allows various entities on the platform to perform buying and selling produce and other associated items. C. To have a Knowledgebase component to help the client analyze data and generate reports. D. To have an eLearning component to allow the sharing of training material and exchange of information. E. To have a web-based Administrative module, with the appropriate Dashboard that allows the management of all activities on the platform such as user account creation, support, and related actions. F. To work towards the Integration of an existing mobile application on the clients side, after carrying out a thorough assessment of the existing features and a detailed requirement gathering.
